POROS YACHTING ACADEMY is an Anglo-Greek sailing school, operating from Poros Island in the Saronic Gulf. We have been working as an RYA recognised training centre for 6 years now, offering sailing courses on all levels to all students, from the novice sailor to the experienced yachtsman. Poros, only 32 Nautical miles away from Athens, is easily reached by ferryboat, hydrofoil or overland transfer via the Corinth Canal. The Saronic and Argolic gulfs offer the ideal sailing grounds for beginning sailors but we are also close to more demanding destinations such as the Cyclades and Dodecanese Islands.

Our training yachts are fully equipped to RYA standards. Courses run from Saturday to Saturday and include 6 days/7 nights on board, breakfast and a light lunch. Apart from the training yachts we also offer the option of “private tuition” whereby you charter your own yacht and take an instructor on board with you. We also organise your transfer from Athens Airport to Poros and back and will find you the best option according to your flight times. Contact us for more details and prices! We sail from March to November! Bookings per yacht, per cabin or individual bookings on our training yachts. At the time of booking we require a 25% deposit, the balance must be paid 4 weeks before the start of the course.
